UDFOC is an Islamic College offering undergraduate and graduate studies through distance learning based on the amanah (trust) to spread Islamic knowledge based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw), in the framework of mainstream Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’a. We utilize contemporary methods of distance to provide the next best thing to direct learning.
The integration of nakli and akli knowledge along with good character development will be the main platform for educating an excellent generation and knowledgeable society.

Dr. Muhammad Liwau’deen Ahmad has had a distinguished career promoting and developing the teaching of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Ghana and United States. A native of Ghana trained and received his PhD in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon and Religious Studies at Hartford Seminary, CT. He taught Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Islamic Schools in Kumasi, Ghana. He is a Visiting Adjunct Professor of Arabic (TAFL) at Community College of Philadelphia, PA and Taqwa Seminary Arabic Institute, Plano, TX. He is also Regional Director of the Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon Distance Learning Center of West Africa. Dr. Muhammad is also a member of some educational and professional institutions such as:
- American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), VA, USA.
- Modern Language Association (MLA), NY, USA.
- American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Washington, DC, USA.
- American Association of Teachers of Arabic (AATA), AL, USA.

Certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies:
These courses are open to accommodate all individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and gaining knowledge of Islamic Studies. The credits earned do not carry the equivalent of the college credits nor count toward the admission requirement.
Certificate in Arabic and Islamic Studies: The Certificate is a 1-year program that introduces students to the fundamental tenets in the field of Arabic and Islamic Studies. The Certificate can later be applied to a 2-year Diploma or 4-year Bachelor degree in the same field.
Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies: The Diploma is a 2-year program that introduces students to the high level in the field of Arabic and Islamic Studies. The Diploma can later be applied to a 4-year Bachelor degree in the same field.
Graduate Degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies: The College is affiliated to the Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon and has an academic agreement to offer Masters and Doctorate Degree in Islamic Studies.

UDFOC shares mutual recognition with Al-Imam Al-Ouzai University of Lebanon (http://ouzai.org), and has signed memorandums of understanding to enrolled students for undergraduate and graduate degrees in Islamic Studies. It is also working to establish academic ties and mutual recognition with other Islamic universities around the world.
